NEW YORK — Interview & MAC hosted a private dinner produced by Workhouse Publicity celebrating Patrick McMullan at the famed Odeon restaurant. Guests included Zac Posen, Moby, Patricia Field, John Cameron Mitchell, Iman, Anna Sui, Marisa Tomei, Fred Schneider, Ross Bleckner, Kenny Scharf, Paz de la Huerta, Tama Janowitz, Rob Weisenthal, Danny Fields, Tim & Helen Schifter, Gene Pressman, Casey Spooner, Sally Randall, James St James, Christopher Makos, Ingrid Sischy, Sandy Brant and John Demsey who dined on typically 80’s fare including steak frites and Svedka vodka.

Michael Jackson may have been arrested but dance choreographer to the stars and M.J. protégé and frequent Neverland ranch guest Wade Robson moonwalked and “hee-hee’d” his way across the stage at Avalon Nightclub at the after-party to launch Patrick McMullan’s photography exhibition at the Spike Gallery. Robson was given the once over from outrageously over-the-top drag queens, transsexuals, trans-genders, transvestites, go-go boys, 80's revivalists and those that lived through the decade and can remember enough to tell about it. Revelers celebrating the high octane ‘80s included Ann Slater, Sylvia Miles, Tatum O'Neal, Chuck Close, James St James, Danny Fields, Lisa E, Henry Benson, Anita Sarko, Michael Musto, Rudolf, Susanne Bartsh, Steven Saban, Serena Bass, Mary McFadden, Debbie Bankroft, Frederique van der Wal, Anthony Hayden-Guest, Fern Mallis, Bettina Zilkha, Andrew Saffir, Rufus Albermarle and Muffie Potter Aston. The premier exhibition of photographs is a collection of black and white photographs illustrating McMullan’s relentless documentation of New York City nightlife and moods throughout the 1980’s. From intriguing unknowns to the celebrated, McMullan clicked and captured in a split second the legends of our time including Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, Madonna, Debbie Harry, Grace Jones, John F Kennedy Jr, Liza Minnelli and Jean Michel Basquait. The exhibition consists of over 50 black and white prints in various sizes. All prints are made with Kodak Professional Endura Metallic Paper.
