USA- Perhaps you’ve noticed that your heart skips a beat when you get a piece of mail– one that hasn’t traveled through cyberspace, but rather delivered by someone in a smart, blue, standard issue uniform. 3+Co. has taken a stand on this issue with the launch of 3+Co. Paperworks, a greeting card line that celebrates good, old fashioned communication and the hand penned note. The initial collection includes cards in four themes: T’is the Season, Happy-congratu-thank-you, Working Stiffs, Love the One You’re With.
Don’t miss the Valentine’s Day cards!
Thoughtfully selected cards from each collection allow you to cover all your correspondence needs, be it that much deserved merci beaucoup you owe your mom the second Sunday in May or that hearty congratulations to your cousin who has finally passed the bar. Keep in mind, however, we do make the cards pretty, but we don't pretend to know what you want to say by printing rhyming couplets or innuendoed one-liners. 3+Co. Paperworks cards emote concepts and feelings. You fill in the rest and make them your own. Trust us, your recipient will treasure your authentic communication. But you ask, “Where can I get my hands on these anti-Hallmark cards?” And if you are out and about in New York, you’ll find them in the West Village at everyone’s favorite shop, Chocolate Bar. In London? The Conran Shop, UK. Purchase yours online at http://www.threeandcopaperworks.com.
Back by popular demand, 3+Co, The Central Illustration Agency and Bernstein & Andriulli will host the creative exhibition of the season with Postcard Confessionals in Los Angeles this July, 2005. With summer returning, Postcard Confessionals is the perfect way to see how 75 of today's most talented illustrators hope they’ll spend their summer vacations. Headlining artists include Alan Aldridge and Sir Peter Blake, promising that this event will be nothing short of aesthetically amazing. Throughout the evening there will be animation and digital presentations, along with live jazz and refreshments. Let the artwork and environment transport you to a simpler time of sweets and sun and get a glimpse into the lives and desires of some of todays greatest illustrators. Look for the limited edition Postcard Confessionals Quarterly in the January, 2005 edition of Creative Review! Press please contact Janelle James at 212. 645. 8006 or via email at james@workhousepr.com.

about 3+Co.
Who we are: 3 sisters. Admittedly there was a time that we couldn’t get far enough away from each other. Yes, we fought over the last piece of cake and who got to ride in the front seat, but we went our separate ways, settling in New York, Japan, and England. We worked for big publishers. We worked for small publishers. We grew up. And, realizing that our potential as a whole would always be much greater than the sum of our parts, we reunited and launched a design studio in New York City. 7 years, 4 moves and 3 weddings later, we still argue, not about cake or who gets to ride shotgun, but rather over interpreting design briefs and the subtleties of choosing the right font. And a nice thing about 3? You can always break a tie. What we do: Above all, we listen. We ask a lot of questions. Then we ask some more. We offer core design services of art direction, project management, typography, product architecture, layout and printer interface, all with immaculate attention to detail, schedules and budgets. We acknowledge that the goal of good design is to define and propel ideas and product. How we do it: Creativity + know how + know who. What was that? Creativity + know how = the talent of 3 creative directors, each with more than 10 years experience parlaying good design into business growth for their clients. The “know who” is the company we keep— seasoned business management developers, brand strategists, photographers, illustrators, stylists, printers, copywriters and editors. Thus: (creativity + know how) + know who = 3+Co. And this kind of high level math from 3 art majors! Our resources allow us to adeptly handle projects and campaigns, whatever the size. In other words: Boutique intimacy. Big firm muscle. Who we do it with: We’re easy. We do it with small shops, big shops, stand alones and big corps. What do all of our clients have in common? Good ideas —and a belief in the power of good design. Why we do it: We can’t help ourselves. Who we do it with (in some detail): Aperture Foundation, Bernstein & Andriulli, Black Dog & Leventhal Publishers, Book of the Month Club, Byron Preiss Visual Publications, Central Illustration Agency, Columbia University, David Grubin Productions, Duncan Baird Publishers, Farrar, Strauss & Giroux, Free Press, Harper Collins, Harper Design International, Hearst Books, Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Linda Kaye’s Birthdaybakers, Partymakers, Moxie Firecracker Films, National Dance Institute, New York Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, Nonesuch Records, Nu Dimension, Om Yoga Center, Padma Media, Parenting Magazine, Penguin Group USA, Public Affairs, Random House, Ruth C.
