With over 150 years of retailing experience, the company was founded with Fraser’s, Glasgow in 1849 by Hugh Fraser and James Arthur. Opening August, 2005 these three boutiques offer fashionable Londoners Adec creations which have become a staple for style mavens worldwide. Philippe Adec will be available in House of Fraser’s Oxford Street and High Street Kensington locations in Londonand the London and Guildford location in Surrey. Each 500 square foot boutique will be consistent with the brand’s modern, sophisticated image, as designed by creative director Julia Jentzsch.
“House of Fraser is the perfect venue for Philippe Adec,” says Philippe Adec President and CEO, Aby Saltiel. “It is the preeminent retailer of designer apparel with an upscale image that marries well with the sophisticated brand message of Philippe Adec. Both have international customers hungry for modern, stylish apparel.”
These three boutiques have a total first year sales plan of $1.5 million, a business the company intends to grow over the next three years. PHILIPPE ADEC
The name Philippe Adec has been synonymous with classic sensibilities and unbelievable fit since its inception in 1976. Always with its finger on the pulse of fashion, the Philippe Adec collection consistently delivers perfect cut, colors and details at precisely the right moment, keeping its devoted tastemaker customer always ahead of the trend. Each garment unlocks a certain “je ne sais quoi” which one can only describe as quintessentially French while catering to the needs of modern American women. The brand was built on the principle that the clothes should never wear the woman; that to be chic, one must concentrate on the details. Philippe Adec loyalists know that without question each skirt will fall at the most flattering point and the pants will give movement to the legs. Suddenly sexy, these intricacies are the key to the famous house of Adec. Formerly based in Paris, Philippe Adec relocated to New York under the ownership of Morelle Products Limited in order to bring modern, chic fashions back to America. Adopting a European sensibility to the American reality, that is the new spirit of Philippe Adec. For more information please visit www.philippeadec.com
