This season, the Philippe Adec woman will portray her personality through easy to combine separates, creating an individual interpretation of each piece. Variations with subtle masculine touches and chic staples add depth to classic femininity. Every design generates the distinctive dedication Philippe Adec adds to a woman’s allure. Distinguishing touches allow versatility to remain a key aspect of the Fall 2006 collection. Pieces such as hi-neck Victorian inspired couture blouses or a suede A-Line cropped washed leather jacket with bell sleeves divide the fine line between timeless and contemporary. Equestrian features and clean-lined shapes add striking detail that defines uniqueness. Philippe Adec reinvents Mod style with structured yet wearable materials and oversized eye-catching embellishments. This collection exemplifies the true Fall spirit with a variety of shades such as rich russet, amber and pumpkin. Sleek wool denim and crepe suiting add dimension, while menswear inspired navy tuxedos with cummerbunds are softened with black ruffled lace and ribbon details. High-waisted pencil skirts with matching jackets create clean-lined striking shapes, structured and crisp delivering a dramatic result. Ruffles, cables, skinny belts and jewel button delicate details add a feminine touch to the collection. Making their mark this season are materials such as angora, marino wool, cashmere and both daytime and evening velvet are paired with classic cotton, silk and stretch jersey infusing natural fabrics and fibers to create flattering silhouette. Philippe Adec’s Fall 2006 collection has an eclectic color palate of nutmeg, olive, and mahogany that compliment terracotta, ivory and clay creating combinations that appeal to the eye. PHILIPPE ADEC
The name Philippe Adec has been synonymous with classic sensibilities and unbelievable fit since its inception in 1976. Always with its finger on the pulse of fashion, the Philippe Adec collection consistently delivers perfect cut, colors and details at precisely the right moment, keeping its devoted tastemaker customer always ahead of the trend. Each garment unlocks a certain “je ne sais quoi” which one can only describe as quintessentially French while catering to the needs of modern American women.  The brand was built on the principle that the clothes should never wear the woman; that to be chic, one must concentrate on the details. Philippe Adec loyalists know that without question each skirt will fall at the most flattering point and the pants will give movement to the legs. Suddenly sexy, these intricacies are the key to the famous house of Adec. Formerly based in Paris, Philippe Adec relocated to New York under the ownership of Morelle Products Limited in order to bring modern, chic fashions back to America. Adopting a European sensibility to the American reality, that is the new spirit of Philippe Adec.
