“The Princess Race is another unique way for Innocence in Danger to raise awareness of the problem of child sexual abuse. Proceeds from this event will help fund the cost of sending affected children and their guardians to our healing retreats and camps.” -Rory J. Cutaia, US Director, IID

“We’re very happy to assist IID in their campaign to help children and their families impacted by this enormous problem. Without question, regardless of finish order or results, all women competitors who enter the Hampton’s Princess Race achieve something much greater for these children.” -Vanessa Duquesnes, Event Organizer

Participants in the Cartier Hamptons Princess Race will be paired in two-women teams (comprised of one driver and one navigator) to navigate cars through a series of scheduled stops where they engage in traditional sports and extreme game challenges including golf, kayaking, jet skiing, waterskiing and surfing.  The course covers roadways along South Hampton, East Hampton, Montauk and Shelter Island, and the girls will be provided with vitaminwater’s newest drink, vitaminenergy, to keep cool at every stop. At the end of the day, prizes will be awarded to the three highest-ranked teams, with the winners of the “Best Waterskiing” prize receiving their own luxurious ERES bathing suits to take home, and two Grand Prize winners being presented with stunning Cartier timepieces for their efforts. Innocence in Danger (IID) originated in January 1999 through the United Nations’ UNESCO project in order to bring public attention to the plight of children who had been victims of trafficking and sexual abuse.  In April 2000, IID was established as an independent non-profit organization under the guidance of its international president and founder, Homayra Sellier.   Since then, IID has expanded its initiatives throughout Europe, and now operates in more than 29 countries. More recently, under the leadership of its U. S. Director, Rory J. Cutaia, IID has begun operations in the United States, offering education, advocacy and rehabilitation programs to affected children and their families.
