Intermission is an urban love story centering around young love and their convoluted journeys for companionship. The film presents a slice of life, the passage between breaking up and making up and explores how our lives intersect. Insecure in his relationship, a young man tells his girlfriend that they are breaking up in the hope that she will fight the decision and commit forever. This ill-timed and badly executed test sets off a chain of events that impacts nearly everyone in their lives -- the hapless romantic and his sex-starved best friend, the hotshot detective and the petty crook he is after, the pretty girl on the rebound and the older married man she takes up with (not to mention his newly deserted wife).  An ambitious TV producer, an abandoned fiancé, a preteen runaway - all unaware that the slim thread that separates us all is fraying at the edges and threatening to snap.
