OPERATION YELLOW RIBBON
NATIONWIDE TROOP EVENTS

USA- Operation Military Pride is a non-profit organization whose wide range of services were created solely to boost the moral of our American troops deployed overseas. Neither pro nor antiwar, Operation Military Pride has proudly sponsored deployed service members in every branch of the US Armed Services since 1995. An all volunteer organization, the non-profit organizes community events and sends cards, letters and care packages to American troops far from home. One of the very few organizations allowed direct contact with service members, 100% of all proceeds gathered goes toward the purchase and mailing of care packages to those who are fighting for the freedom of others. To allow at home patriots to come together for greater support and show their pride for military members, Operation Yellow Ribbon is billed as a series of neither pro nor antiwar gatherings to take place across the country on Armed Forces Day, May 17th, 2003. A nationwide support rally held in conjunction with the main event at the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C, Operation Yellow Ribbon will coordinate city by city troop support rallies for those American men and women fighting overseas. The Red Cross will accept blood donations specifically for military purposes and at dusk a moment of silence will be immediately followed by a candle light vigil honoring those lost to the war effort.
