USA- Saks Fifth Avenue today announced the launch of Snowpeople, a limited edition, hardcover children’s book for the holidays. The book was published by Harper Collins exclusively for Saks Fifth Avenue, and will be sold in all Saks Fifth Avenue stores around the country and at www.saks.com. Proceeds from the sale of the books will go to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Snowpeople is the fascinating story of a clan of charming Snowpeople on their search for individual identities, culminating at Saks Fifth Avenue. The book is a celebration of diversity, as highlighted in the last line of the book: “Different is brilliant. It’s what makes you YOU!” Rick and Ryan Zeeb are the writers behind Snowpeople. Trish Burgio lends her masterful illustrations, creating a fantasy world that takes readers from McMurdo Sound in Antarctica to New York City. The Snowpeople will also serve as Saks Fifth Avenue’s ambassadors throughout the holiday season. Saks will organize readings of the books as well as feature the Snowpeople in catalogs, windows and stores beginning this November. As part of their ongoing relationship with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Saks Fifth Avenue will donate $2 from every book sold to the St. Jude 2007 Thanks and Giving Campaign. The book goes on sale this holiday season.
