"THE SHIELD" ACTRESS CAMILLIA SANES
SELECTS WORKHOUSE PUBLICITY
|
NEW YORK - Workhouse Publicity, a leading Public Relations agency announced today that it has been selected by actor Camillia Sanes as the Public Relations agency of record for worldwide publicity. The assignment is effective immediately.
As Molina Rojo in Gary Ross's Seabiscuit
the true story of a long shot who became a legend, Camillia
Sanes deflowers a modest Tobey Maguire. As
Aurora Aceveda on the Fox Networks Emmy-Award winning show The Shield
starring Michael Chiklis, she continues to learn
that the road to justice is twisted. A New York theatre scene regular,
Sanes has worked with some of the most prolific theaters in town including
the Roundabout Theatre with Bill Irwin, the Blue Light
Theatre Company with Frances McDormand and Billy
Crudup, and Playwright's Horizons where she originated the role
of Celestina in the critically acclaimed Cloud Tectonics. In
terms of uncompromising preparation, Sanes is unmatched. A career marked
by unilateral recognition, she has received rave reviews and has been
called "worth watching" by the Los Angeles Times for her portrayal
in Christopher Fry's The Lady's Not for Burning and "appropriately
chameleon-like" by Ben Brantley of the New York Times. Most recently
seen in the CBS drama The Agency opposite Gil Bellows
and Will Patton, Sanes has earned an unparallel reputation
for playing varied and unique characters. Upcoming films include The
Silent Cross, the Merchant & Ivory production of Book of
Kings and Heart and Souls. Hailing from the U.S. Virgin
Islands, Camillia Sanes was raised in Philadelphia and has been acting
since the age of thirteen where she enrolled in the High School For Creative
and Performing Arts. After graduating, she received a scholarship to attend
the illustrious Conservatory University of the Arts where she received
her BFA and was encouraged to pursue studies at the Yale School of Drama
by director Walter Dallas and professor and renowned writer Camille Paglia
where she received her MFA. Upon graduation, Sanes moved to New York,
and quickly found work on the regional circuit in such reputable theatres
as the La Jolla Playhouse, Actor's Theatre of Louisville, and South Coast
Rep among others. Press please contact Devon Mack via email at mack@workhousepr.com or 212. 334. 8006.
