For over a decade, Rena Sindi has dazzled New York society with theme parties that are opulent, imaginative and, above all, always fun. Be My Guest: Theme Party Savoir-Faire is both a record of these glamorous galas, captured on film by the celebrated photographer Jessica Craig-Martin, as well as a comprehensive, detailed guide to throwing fun, imaginative theme parties for any occasion. Whether you want to host an intimate soiree or stage a blow-out bash, this exuberant volume will show you how to pull off your own unforgettable event.
The mastermind behind dozens of spectacular theme galas, Rena brings all her creativity to the table in these pages, covering every detail from compiling a guest list and concocting imaginative invitations to planning the decor, the music and, of course, the food and drink. With advice on how to inspire your guests to get into the spirit of the evening, as well as tips on how to pull it off with style, Be My Guest illustrates how to make any kind of gathering a fun-filled and festive occasion.

Be My Guest celebrates the following legendary theme parties:
Black and White • Art • Baby Shower • Hot Hacienda • Ladies Luncheon • 1001 Arabian Nights • Hawaiian Luau • Theatrical Heads • Signature Styles (a dinner party prepared by three famous chefs - Daniel Boulud, Nobu and Claudia Fleming) • Dragon Red and Cherry Blossom Pink • Vietnamese • Jungle Fever • Tango • Disco Gold

Rena Sindi, one of New York’s young social swans, has thrown some of the most elaborate and richly imagined theme parties of the last decade for herself, for her friends and for many organizations, such as The New York City Ballet, the Joseph Papp Public Theater, and the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. A graduate of Oxford University with a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University, Rena lives in New York City with her husband and two children.

Jessica Craig-Martin, a voyeur, chronicler, and party-goer herself, photographer Jessica Craig-Martin captures the new social scene with a witty sense of impunity. Jessica’s edgy and irreverent pictures have been featured in The New York Times, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, among other publications. Her commercial work is represented by Walter Schupfer Management in New York and Paris and her fine art by Artemis, Greenberg, Van Doren Gallery in New York. Jessica’s photos are exhibited at galleries and museums around the world.
