ASSOULINE
IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE ART GAME BOOK
USA- Assouline Publishing, the illustrated book-publishing
house well known for their extensive art and design titles such as Magritte:
An Empire of Images, Eames, The Worth of Art, Red and White, Andy Warhol
by Christopher Makos and Picasso is proud to announce
the release of a new title The Art Game Book by David
Rosenberg, a comprehensive compilation of art factoids and whimsical
interactivity. To be serious while not taking oneself seriously: that’s
the objective of this book, which allows the reader to explore the complete
history of art of the 20th century with enthusiasm and curiosity. Developed
to be both comprehensive and accessible, The Art Game Book is
a new way of approaching art history. All the movements, schools and artists
that make up this history are found in these pages. This action-packed
book explores every aspect of 20th-century and contemporary art: painting,
sculpture, installation, architecture, photography, video, design and
typography. This book, in essence, a game which allows the reader not
only to test his or her knowledge of art but to see and appreciate it
in a new way. The Art Game Book lets you start where you like
and browse your way from one art movement or age to another, from questions
to games, and from games to definitions and commentaries. Finally, The
Art Game Book has even more to offer: as well as reproductions, commentaries,
a glossary and a dictionary of the main art movements, there’s a
resource guide including the world’s major museums of modern and
contemporary art, the best websites, and major art fairs and events, making
this book a true bible of the 20th-century art. For Serial Rights information,
